Do you know how Jesus prayed?

Do you know how Jesus prayed?

JESUS TEACHES ABOUT PRAYER.

Prostration

"And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, Mat 26:39:

"And going a little farther, he fell on the ground and prayed that,

Mark 14:35,

We are told Jesus fell with his head (face) toward the ground and he prayed.

Kneeling -

1Kin 8:54: "Now as Solomon finished offering all this prayer and supplication to the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, where he had knelt with hands outstretched toward heaven;" ; Daniel 6:10 (and prayed three times per day);  Acts 7:60, 20:36; Ephesians 3:14; Philippians 2:9-11.

Standing

- 2Chr 20:5: "And Jehosh′aphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,"

Facedown

Num 16:22: "And they fell on their faces, and said, “O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be angry with all the congregation?”"

- 20:6; Joshua 5:14; Revelation 7:11.

Hands Raised

Ps 134:2: "Lift up your hands to the holy place, and bless the LORD!"

Ps 141:2: "Let my prayer be counted as incense before thee, and the lifting up of my hands ..

This is how Almighty God ordered all prophets to pray

-First they wash some parts from body

-Then stand

-Kneel

-Prostrate by putting their head on ground

Prophets prayers

All prophets prayed the same way , putting their forehead on the ground .

Who on earth prays like Jesus now ?

Only muslims .

Prostrated heart

The fact that Jesus prayed using this posture does not mean that he always did so.

God is more interested in a prostrated heart than he is a prostrated body. Moreover, when Jesus taught the disciples how to pray in Matthew 6:5-15 he did not specify any posture at  all.

Matthew 6:5-8   "When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites.  They love to stand in the synagogues and on the street corners and pray loudly.  They want people to see them. The truth is, that's all the reward they will get. But when you pray, you should go into your room and close the door. Then pray to your Father. He is there in that private place. He can see what is done in private,  and he will reward you.

"And when you pray, don't be like the people who don't know God. They say the same things again and again.  They think that if they say it enough, their god will hear them.

Don't  be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him."

Jesus commands charity

Jesus said give charity, (Mk 10:21)

Mar 10:21: "And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing; go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”"

It's one of the pillars of Islam, Muslims are commanded to give Zakat ( obligatory charity to the poor and needy) !

Jesus fasts

Jesus fasted 40 days, (Matt 4:2),

Mat 4:2: "And he fasted forty days and forty nights, and afterward he was hungry."

Jesus and other prophets of the Bible fasted up to 40 days (see Exodus 34:28, Daniel 10:2-6. 1 Kings 19:8, and Matthew 4:1-10).

Who still fasts ??

Muslims fast full month of Ramadan 30 days every year  obligatory (see Quran 2:183), and others take it a step further by fasting an additional 6 days to increase their rewards.

Jesus greets with islamic greeting

Jesus taught to say “Peace to this house” when entering it (see Luke 10:5),

and to also greet the people in the house with “peace be unto you”.

Muslims do exactly what Jesus did and taught.

When we enter our homes and the homes of others we say “Bismillah” and also greet with “assalamu alaikum” (peace be upon you) as taught in the Quran verse 24:61.

Jesus was circumcised

According to the Bible in Luke 2:21, Jesus was eight days old when he was circumcised.

In the Old Testament, Allah/God stated to the Prophet Abraham that it is an “Everlasting covenant” (see Genesis 17:13).

In the Quran verse 16:123, Muslims are required to follow the religion of Abraham.

The Prophet Muhammad said, “The Prophet Abraham circumcised himself when he was eighty years old.”

So Muslim men are required to be circumcised.

Jesus said Elah

Jesus spoke Aramaic and called God "Elah", which is pronounced the same as “Allah”.

Aramaic is an ancient, Biblical language.

The Aramaic ”Elah” and the Arabic “Allah” are the same.

The Aramaic “Elah” is derived from the Arabic “Allah”, and it means “GOD”.

“Allah” in Arabic also means ”GOD”, the Supreme GOD Almighty.

You can easily see the similarity in their pronunciation

so this concludes that the God of Jesus is also the God of the Muslims, of all mankind, and all that exist.

In Matthew 27:46, you say that Jesus said " Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?"

Women's hijab in the Bible

Jesus’ mother Maryam dressed modestly by fully covering her body and wearing a headscarf (hijab) as found in 1 Timothy 2:9, Genesis 24:64-65,

and Corinthians 11:6.

Muslim women modest dress the same as taught in the Quran verse 33:59.

Christ doesn’t eat pork

Jesus  didn’t eat pork as taught in

Leviticus 11:7 ,

and  Isa 65:2-4 ,

and neither do Muslims as taught

in the Quran verse 6:145.

Jesus didn't drink wine

*Prohibiting wine in Old Testament* :

1. Prov 20:1: "Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler; and whoever is led astray by it is not wise."

2. Prov 23:29-30:

"Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who is complaining? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? Those who tarry long over wine, those who go to try mixed wine."

3. Isa 5:22: "Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:"

4. Hos 4:11: "Old and new wine take away the understanding of my people."

*Prohibiting wine in New Testament* :

1. Luk 1:15: "for he will be great before the Lord, and he shall drink no wine nor strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb."

2. 1Cor 5:11: "But rather I wrote to you not to associate with any one who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, *drunkard*, or robber — not even to eat with such a one."

3. Gal 5:19-21: "Now the works of the flesh are plain: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, selfishness, dissension, party spirit, envy, *drunkenness*, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

4. Eph 5:18: "And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit,"

5. 1Tim 3:8: "Deacons likewise must be dignified, not two-faced, not given to excessive drinking, not greedy for gain,"

6. 1Tim 3:2-3: "The overseer then must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, an able teacher, not a drunkard, not violent, but gentle, not contentious, free from the love of money."

God willing

Jesus peace be upon him always said “God Willing”, Muslims say this too ,insha Allah, before doing anything as taught in the Quran verses 18:23-24.

He is making ablution

Jesus washed his face, hands, and feet before praying. The Muslims do the same.

Exodus(40:31,32)

Beard

Jesus  had a beard and wore a throne. It is Sunnah for Muslim men to have a beard too .

Who is the true follower of Jesus

Now tell me who is the real follower of Jesus ?

Obviously Muslims.

But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah ?" The disciples said," We are supporters for Allah . We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him].

(3:52)

And Abraham instructed his sons [to do the same] and [so did] Jacob, [saying], "O my sons, indeed Allah has chosen for you this religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims." Or were you witnesses when death approached #Jacob, when he said to his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We will worship your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac - one God. And we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."

(2:132,133)

Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah ]. And he was not of the polytheists.

(3:67)

Pharaoh's magicians

And you do not resent us except because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission to You]." (7:126)

Noah

And if you turn away [from my advice] then no payment has I asked of you. My reward is only from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims."

(10:72)

And Moses said, "O my people, if you have believed in Allah, then rely upon Him, if you should be Muslims."

(10:84)

Indeed, it is from Solomon, and indeed, it reads:

'In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, Be not haughty with me but come to me in submission [as Muslims].' " ,

(27:30,31)

Lot

And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims.

(51:36)
