What is Iman?

What is Iman?

A. Iman (Faith) means to believe in the heart, to confess by the tongue and to act with the parts of the body. What are the pillars of Iman (Faith)? The pillars of Iman are six. The Muslim has to believe in:

(1) Allah

(2) His Angels

(3) His Messengers

(4) His Books

(5) The Last Day

(6) Qadar - Divine Preordainment good or bad.

There is no such author who writes a book and then challenges others that this book is errorless. As for the Holy Quran, it is the other way round. It tells the reader that there are no errors in it and then challenges all people to find any, if any.

Then do they not reflect upon the Quran? If it had been from [any] other than Allah , they would have found within it much contradiction.

The Holy Quran is the pure word of God. There is not a single word therein that is not divine. Divine verses therefore, have not been mingled with the history of the Arabs or the events that occurred during the period of its revelation.

The Quran is the only religious sacred text that has been in circulation for a lengthy period, and yet remains as pure as the day it was revealed. Nothing has been added, removed or modified from it, since its revelation over 1400 years ago. With every succeeding generation of Muslims, the number of those who have committed the entire Quran to memory has increased. There is no other book, religious or otherwise, which has been given this unparalleled care in recorded history.

The religion of Islam is complete, It addresses every issue that concerns man in this life and in the Hereafter.

Islamic scripture is one of the only ancient texts that gives very clear and explicit instructions about the protection of animals and the human responsibility to care for them.

All nature bears witness to Allah's oneness, power, wisdom and goodness. In the Quran, people are asked to look around them for the signs of Allah in the natural world. The balance of the world, the rhythms of life, are #signs for those who would believe. The Quran – the final revelation – superseded and abrogated previous revelations, and is the ultimate mercy and guidance for mankind. True peace and happiness are not by material gains; rather they’re pure blessings of Allah that He descends upon the hearts of the believers.

“Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.”

(Quran 13:28)

Not all Muslims are  Arabs. Islam is a universal religion, and a complete way of life , which includes followers from all races of people. There are Muslims in and from virtually every country in the world.

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger

(If I do well, it is from Allah, and if I do evil or make a mistake, it is from myself and Satan.)
